How are seller penalties calculated?
We apply a penalty fee when a sale is canceled due to a seller error, such as a failure to ship, a quality control issue, or an authentication failure. These fees cover the cost of re-processing the order for the buyer.
Penalty Calculations
- Standard Cancellation (Shipping or Quality Failure): You pay a flat fee based on your region plus 3% to 5% of the item’s sale value.
- Authentication (LC) Failure: Sending non-authentic items results in a higher penalty of at least 5% of the sale value and an immediate review of your account status.
The 100 SGD Penalty Cap
- To limit your financial risk, we cap the total penalty for any single transaction at 100 SGD (or your local currency equivalent). You will never be charged more than this amount for one sale.
Payment Collection
We handle penalty payments automatically to keep the marketplace moving:
- NS Pay Balance: We deduct the fee from your available funds first.
- Payment Card: If your balance is empty, we charge your registered payment card.
